The Philosophy of Care
Although the terms holistic and hospice are often used interchangeably, they are in fact different. Hospice is typically defined as care of a terminal or dying person, usually with a life expectancy of six months or less. Whereas, holistic care is a supportive care for clients with a wide range of needs - regardless of life expectancy.
At Senior Home Care by Angels, we view holistic care as a philosophy of care. This is not a ‘program’ we admit our clients to, but is in fact how we care for all our clients. The Senior Home Care by Angels Holistic Care Certification Program was developed to train our caregivers to provide care that is supportive, soothing, and comforting. It attends to the physical, emotional and social needs of our clients.
Through our continuum of personal home care services, we are able to provide quality, competent, and supportive care that enriches the lives of those we serve. Senior Home Care by Angels has adopted a palliative care philosophy that integrates best practices to effectively support our clients and their families.
