The Alzheimer’s Day Program is a social club aimed to support adults who are coping with the specific effects of Alzheimer’s disease or other forms of dementia, and want to stay in the community, in their own homes, or living with their families. Participants can take part in a range of arts, cultural, gardening, cooking, and exercise activities. The program focuses on the unique needs and abilities of each person. The program also supports families and caregivers, and can be a source of respite for them.

The Canadian Dental Care Plan (CDCP) will help make the cost of dental care more affordable for eligible Canadian residents. An application must be submitted, and applications are only open to Canadian citizens aged 65 and older, or adults with a valid Disability Tax Credit certificate.
Eligibility requirements include:
- You don’t have access to dental insurance
- Your adjusted family net income is less than $90,000
- You are a Canadian resident for tax purposes
- You filed your tax return for the previous year
You may have a co-payment based on your adjusted family net income. A co-payment is the percentage of the CDCP fees that isn’t covered by the CDCP, and that you will have to pay directly to the oral health provider. Your co-payment is based on your adjusted family net income.

The Waterloo Wellington Regional Cancer Program oversees the quality and delivery of cancer services for the areas of Waterloo Region, Wellington County and the southern portion of Grey County. The WWRCP aims to deliver timely care across the cancer care continuum (from prevention & screening to end of life care). Community Support Connections is a non-profit organization that promotes the health of the whole person – mind and body – through their support services. They offer services under four areas: Nutrition, Physical Health, Social Wellbeing, and Help at Home. Nutrition services include Meals on Wheels and help with grocery shopping. Physical Health services include free fall prevention education and gentle exercise sessions. Social Wellbeing services include volunteers who visit clients who are feeling lonely, will call to check in and make sure that everything’s ok, or take them to visit a loved one. Help at Home services include homemaking, yard work, or seasonal maintenance, and services are provided at an affordable rate based on the client’s income.
