Sheryl MacDonald - Owner/Director
I completed a BSc in Nutrition and worked as a Professional Dietitian for 20 years. Much of my career was spent working within long-term care facilities, medical primary care clinics, and as a Care Coordinator with Continuing Care.
I am passionate about the need for kind, compassionate, and friendly service that allows seniors to remain in their own homes on their own terms. This passion led to me opening “Senior Homecare by Angels,” aka “the Angels”, in August 2017. I have worked diligently since then to ensure the seniors of the Annapolis Valley receive high-quality and skilled care within the place they call home!
When I'm not working, I enjoy spending time outdoors with my husband, Calvin, and our two shepherds, Duke and Jaz. We also look forward to the times we can gather with family for a good meal and/or a game of cards! I am also fortunate to have five children and four grandchildren.

I am originally from NS but have had the opportunity to live, work, and play around the world. When I returned to NS, I wanted to work in a company with great values. When I met Sheryl and her team, I knew I had found that.
I love being a support for our ANGELS! Having lost my own parents, I know firsthand how difficult this is for families. The care our ANGELS provide is life-changing.
In my free time, I love having cuddles with my kitten Maxi, spending time with family and friends, and I am attempting my first latch hook project!
Shelagh Wright - Client Care Specialist
I was born in Vancouver and moved to NS in the fall of 2020 - when I was looking for a job in home care, I came across Senior Homecare by Angels, and the name did it for me - who WOULDN'T want to be an Angel? Then when I met the team - I knew I had found my perfect place - their core values are in alignment with mine.
My favourite part of my Jon is bringing comfort to the elderly - (can't say seniors anymore because WOW...I'm nearly there...) in whatever form they need.
All my kids have paws, so my happiest free time is playing with them...family comes next (sorry, you guys)! I also love cooking, baking, trying new recipes, and gardening.

I have lived all over this beautiful Country. I've had the pleasure of calling the following places "home"; East York, ON, Campbellford, ON, Salt Spring Island, BC, St.John's NL and now South Berwick, NS. My dog, Oliver, and I love the community here. What I love even more is being able to support seniors in the area to help them live their best lives. My very first job, when I was 15, was working in a Retirement Home doing reception and kitchen work. My mom also managed a few LTC homes in Ontario, so I guess it's in the genes. I am excited to be a part of such a caring team who strive to go above and beyond for our clients.
